The Nun
Once a healer of the plague-stricken. Now something that is no longer entirely alive or dead, and appears where the story is about to turn.
She was a healer. She tended the sick when the sick were many, and the dying more than the sick. Compassion, repeated across enough deaths, becomes something else.
The Nun is not a boss you fight. She does not stand in a corridor waiting for you. She appears: kneeling at a place that matters, then gone; present in a memory you were never meant to see; there at the moment a ritual finds its shape. When she is near, the world behaves as though it is being written.
She is bound up with the Cult and its rituals, and with the Priest who can call her. How she came to be what she is, and what she wants, is something the story withholds.
The Nun does not threaten you. That is what should worry you.
Not to be confused with
The Witch Nun of the Witch Village is a separate person with a separate story. They share a habit, not an identity.
