The Barmaid

Every village has someone who hears everything. In Start Village it is the woman behind the tavern bar.

“You look as though the road tried to bury you. Looking for a bed, or looking for someone?”

She is one of the first ordinary people you meet after waking, and one of the first to give you work. She is friendly in the way of someone who has decided not to ask too many questions, and what she knows about the village is worth more than what she says about it.
